Q: What is Open Studio?
A: Open Studio is a time frame when you can drop by without pre-registering. We will have pre-designed projects that you can make in the studio complete with supplies and directions. For ages 5 and under, an adult must stay with the child and assist. For children ages 6 and older, the child can be dropped off for up to 2 hours to create the project and our instructors will casually assist the child during that time frame. The average price ranges from $18-24.
Q: I want to book a private party, what are my location options?
A: We offer three options for your special event: in-studio, outdoor patio (weather permitting) and mobile. Our in-studio location is located in Lakewood and has enough space to seat 40 people comfortably inside and 20 people on our patio with all of the supplies needed for a great party. We also have a team of artists available to bring the art party to you. Whether you have an office location, public access space, or in your private residence, we bring the party to you!
Q: Do I have to make a reservation?
A: Registration is preferred for classes to ensure we have enough space and supplies for you. If you would like to take a class last minute, simply call or stop on in and we will try our best to accommodate you! If you would like to create a take and make project, no reservations are needed.
Q: Am I allowed to bring in my own food, drinks, or decorations?
A: Absolutely! You are welcome to bring in anything you’d like if you have made a reservation for a private party. Our space is your space during your registered 2 hour time frame. This also includes alcoholic beverages (please adhere to federal laws on age requirements) for both adult classes or private parties.
Q: I have children attending of various age groups, how do I pick an appropriate project for them to create?
A: Don’t worry, this is our specialty! Whichever project you choose to create, we can adjust the project to fit a younger or older age group. However, please keep in mind that an adult will have to be present to assist every child age 3-5 in attendance.
Q: I don’t see a project that I LOVE in your gallery, do I have another option?
A: Of course! If you have a specific project or theme in mind, let us know. We can create a custom design just for you. There is a $25 fee required for our artist’s time to create the custom project.
Q: Is there time for cupcakes, presents, or snack breaks at my private party?
A: Yep! Our total time frame is 2 hours, but within that time frame we stop for one or two dry breaks (allowing the painting to dry before the next step is started). These dry breaks typically last 10 minutes or so and its the perfect time to add in cupcakes, gifts, or snacks!
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: For private parties, a $50 deposit is required to secure your 2-hour spot. If your party is cancelled, this deposit is not refundable, but it is transferable to a different date at no extra charge. If you register for a class and the class is cancelled by us, you will be issued a full refund or may use your payment as a credit for another class. If you pay for a class but do not show up, your payment is non-refundable.
Q: I don’t want to think about the party details, what add-ons do you offer?
A: We will make the party planning as easy as possible for you! We offer custom invitations, custom thank you cards, gourmet cupcakes delivered for your party, pallet cupcake trays, birthday crowns, and a custom painted keepsake sign.
Q: What are BYOC Pallet Cupcakes
A: If you want to carry along the art party theme, we offer cupcake pallet trays similar to paint pallets. You provide the plainly iced cupcake (or purchase cupcakes through us) and we’ll provide the trays filled with different sprinkles and toppings. Your guests can then create their own cupcake design with the toppings.
